About the production
The perfect rush of being alive, the release from all rules and constraints: that is “Oxygen”. The piece follows its protagonists in their search for this special state. Do they find it?
Ivan Vyrypaev's cult text looks at a modern relationship through the Ten Commandments. This version, freely adapted, was created with three puppeteers of the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts Berlin at the puppet theatre studio of the Musiktheater im Revier, combining puppetry with choreography, video and music.
It was shown on 5 and 6 September 2020 in the Kleines Haus of the Musiktheater im Revier as part of the triple bill “Puppet Masters”.
