About the production

David Ives' play after the novella by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch: a director, an actress who arrives late to an audition, and a game of dominance in which it becomes less and less clear who is directing whom.

The young Athanor team asked itself a question that stays with every rehearsal room: where does the line run between the actor and the character? The production was created during the directing studies under David Esrig and performed at the Café Museum in Passau in spring 2016.
